EDITORIAL / EVIDENCE

Evidence first. Human judgement before publication.

WhoCam uses tools to organise research and draft language. A page becomes publishable only when a responsible human can defend its facts, task, tone, sources and local language.

WHO CAM / WHOCAM.LIVEAbout this guideChecklistPractical guide
1

We separate four kinds of statements

A production observation describes what the current WhoCam flow did under recorded conditions. A product claim comes from current internal behaviour or documentation. A third-party claim is attributed to an official source. Editorial advice is labelled as guidance, not a guarantee.

Unknown facts remain unknown. We do not convert missing evidence into reassuring wording.

2

Comparisons include the publisher’s interest

WhoCam benefits if a reader chooses WhoCam. Comparison pages state that relationship near the top, record the source and review date, and distinguish public-page research from a completed live flow.

A source-based decision guide may be published when every changing claim is attributed and the page makes no hands-on ranking. A page claiming tested speed, checkout, safety controls or call quality needs equivalent documented testing. Third-party prices and features are reviewed again when material change is detected.

3

AI assistance does not replace accountability

Automation can help organise keyword maps, detect repetition, produce route scaffolds and suggest a draft. It cannot sign off a native-language page, invent first-hand testing, create a support identity or decide that a risky claim is “probably true.”

Final review checks facts, usefulness, spoken rhythm, duplication, interface accuracy and local language. Material corrections update the page date and, where useful, explain what changed.

4

A correction should leave a trace

Small spelling fixes do not need theatre. A correction that changes price interpretation, safety advice, product behaviour or a comparison result should update the review date and explain what was wrong. Historical searches such as what replaced Omegle still require current product evidence when they recommend what somebody should use now.

Pages are not kept alive merely because they once ranked. If the search task has moved, evidence has expired, or another WhoCam page answers the same question better, the weaker route should be merged, redirected or removed from the index.

5

Assign one primary search task before drafting

Every indexable WhoCam route has one primary query owner and a defined user task. Random matching, stranger boundaries, one-to-one format, anonymity limits, live-call setup, pricing and camera troubleshooting are related but not interchangeable. The page outline begins from the distinction.

Supporting phrases may overlap naturally, but two pages should not promise the same answer from the same angle. If search intent converges later, the weaker route is merged, redirected or repositioned rather than kept alive merely to increase page count.

6

Choose questions that belong on WhoCam

We choose subjects that help someone prepare for a conversation, understand a product choice or deal with a problem. Search demand can reveal an unanswered question, but popularity alone does not tell us whether the answer belongs on WhoCam or whether we have enough evidence to give it.

High volume is not automatic permission to publish. Adult, misleading, navigational or irrelevant candidates are excluded when they conflict with WhoCam’s general live-discovery position. A smaller relevant cluster is more valuable than traffic that cannot become an appropriate product user.

7

Describe what happens when you enter chat

Instructions need to match the screen you use. An article should distinguish opening chat from starting a conversation, explain when permission is needed and avoid promising an allowance or feature that your account may not have. If we have only checked a public page, we must not describe that as a completed call.

A homepage animation is not a live user count. A CTA click is not a completed match. Payment does not guarantee restoration of an ended call. When public prose and observed product state differ, the prose is corrected or withheld rather than asking product logic to make an unsupported sentence true.

8

Distinguish observation, official claim and inference

An observation records what a reviewer saw under named device, region, account and date conditions. An official claim is attributed to the organisation that publishes it. An inference connects evidence and is labelled as interpretation rather than fact.

These categories cannot be silently exchanged. One successful mobile test does not prove universal performance, and a policy statement does not prove every participant’s behaviour. Unknown results remain unknown until a reproducible test or authoritative source resolves them.

9

Give comparison pages a stricter publication gate

WhoCam benefits when readers choose WhoCam, so competitor and category pages disclose that interest near the beginning. A claim about one service working better than another needs dated tests under comparable conditions. A decision guide can instead explain what to look for, without recommending a winner or claiming firsthand results. Its title and introduction must make that difference clear.

Our current comparison notes distinguish public information from live experience. Reading a feature page cannot tell us how a conversation feels, how quickly someone answers or whether a report is resolved. We label those gaps untested, rather than borrowing another review or filling the space with a plausible-sounding verdict.

10

Make country pages locally useful before making them indexable

A country page needs more than a translated heading. Currency interpretation, device context, official sources, consumer routes, language usage and examples should change where the locality changes the decision. The page must also state that local guidance does not create a country-only matching pool.

Italian, German and Mexican Spanish drafts remain noindex until a native editor signs off language and cultural fit. Automated translation and fluent drafting cannot certify native quality. English-language country pages still require source dates and jurisdiction limits.

11

Use AI assistance without inventing experience

Tools can organise keyword clusters, find repetition, scaffold routes, count words and suggest drafts. They cannot claim a product test that did not happen, create a founder or support identity, certify native language or decide that an uncertain safety statement is acceptable.

Human review looks for factual support, spoken rhythm, relevance to WhoCam, interface accuracy and unnecessary repetition. Word count is a floor for meaningful pages, not permission to add unrelated lifestyle material. Every section must advance the page’s assigned task.

12

Build internal links from the sentence that creates the next question

Links are placed where a reader naturally needs a deeper owner page: camera permission to device help, checkout to pricing, harmful conduct to report and block. Generic “learn more” lists alone do not establish topic relationships.

Each indexable page also belongs to a hub or related cluster so it is not orphaned. Link labels describe the destination task rather than repeating an exact keyword mechanically. Authority links go directly to current official browser, privacy, consumer or safety guidance.

13

Correct, merge and retire content with evidence

A material correction changes the review date and explains the affected claim when useful. Product, price, policy and competitor statements receive priority because stale wording can change a user’s decision. Minor spelling fixes do not need a theatrical correction notice.

Pages are merged when they begin competing for the same intent, removed from indexing when their evidence gate reopens, and redirected when a stronger owner replaces them. Traffic history does not justify keeping a misleading or cannibalising route.

The same review checks cross-site overlap within the wider child-site portfolio. WhoCam keeps the “who is live, what happens next, and what state can I trust” position instead of copying the strongest generic 1v1, adult or fast-chat angle owned by another brand.

That boundary is reviewed before every new cluster.
